The River Valley Naginata club is an Edmonton based Naginata club practicing the Japanese art of Atarashii Naginata. Practicioners use a wooden pole arm weapon (Naginata) to strike multiple targets on their opponents wearing protective gear called bogu. Similar to fencing, Naginata utilizes various competition styles from full sparring to synchronized rhythm demonstrations.

Monthly $65

All club fee’s go directly to renting facilities, ensuring that our members have access to quality spaces for training, practices and events. Any remaining funds may be distributed for the purchase of club equipment, All instructors are volunteers.
